ALS, 1897 October 13 : Vienna Hotel, Metropole, to Mr. Harper.

Clemens writes to his publisher that Queen Victoria's granddaughter has read his Joan 4 times and has given her copy to a girls' school. Clemens wants to give her another copy and asks Harper to send his copy "bound in a style proper to a personage of such exhalted degree & send it to me here."
